Are you ready to make an impact? West Monroe is seeking a Manager with current consulting experience to join our Organization, People, and Change practice. West Monroe’s Organization, People, and Change practice accelerates value and business outcomes of transformations, transactions and implementations – through people, HR, and change strategies.
For this opening, we are looking for someone with a proven track record leading Change Strategy & Execution engagements for clients in the Utilities industry, but each consultant within our OPC practice drives value across our human capital and change management offerings.
What you’ll do:
Serve as a delivery leader on engagements of moderate complexity and scale, communicating with client sponsors directly without oversight, and exemplifying engagement management, client relationship, client satisfaction, risk management, and delivery team management skills.
Oversee engagement scope, budget, deliverables, profitability, work management and reporting, change management, vendor management, and team development.
Achieve business development goals primarily through building networks with internal partners, educating channel partners on Org, People & Change offerings, farming opportunities, and scoping projects/proposals.
Originate and create methodologies, project assets and tools, and ensure maintenance of those assets. Support direction and strategy for functional, industry, or technology methodologies, quality assurance, and toolsets used within the practice.
Author white papers and deliver presentations (internal and external) on innovations, best practices, and methodologies. Gain visibility and build West Monroe brand through interviews, writing articles, and/or providing quotes for trade journals.
Model and mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants day-to-day in personifying West Monroe values with clients, on project teams, and within individual relationships.
Career Advisor for at least one Consultant – actively participating in the performance expectation and management process.
Actively engage in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting campus and experienced new hire consultants.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of relevant change management advisory experience including leading change projects, ensuring the readiness of the client organization(s) for a variety of changes, including new technology/processes, mergers/acquisitions, new organization strategy, or other change efforts.
2+ years of experience working in a consulting environment.
1+ year(s) of people management experience.
Demonstrated success within the Utilities industry required.
Extensive experience working directly with clients to identify and document organizational impacts of change initiatives such as vision/value definition, communication, leadership engagement, organization alignment and change sustainability.
Organizational change management subject matter expertise and knowledge of curriculum design, instructional methods, training technique, and modern learning tools.Expert project manager with extensive experience managing multiple human capital or change management projects including developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates, budget management, issue and risk management, and presenting deliverables.
Business development experience including farming leads and assisting in managing the sales process – pursuit strategy, client development cycle and tools, proposal development, fee and profitability planning, and contract management.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create impactful and concise executive stakeholder-ready deliverables, and polished client-facing oral communication skills.
Strong data visualization and analysis skills; comfortable using tools like Excel to analyze data and present key insights in a compelling way.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Additional exposure to other West Monroe’s core industries including Consumer & Industrial Products, Healthcare (payer/provider), Life Sciences, High Tech & Software, Insurance, Banking, and/or Private Equity.
