Basic Job Functions:

The Fleet Safety Coordinator strengthens compliance, reduces risk, and supports operational execution by identifying hazards, eliminating unsafe conditions, and ensuring consistent application of safety and fleet standards. This person will drive C.H.I. Overhead Doors’ safety culture throughout the division. The position leads cross-functional efforts that protect people & assets while promoting a disciplined, accountable safety environment. This position will develop & maintain safety & compliance regulations with DOT & FMCSA. Successful candidates will be able to work independently, and be able to communicate professionally to teammates, partners, and customers at all levels.

Lead the driver safety program, evaluate their effectiveness, and establish short and long-term improvement priorities. Provide coaching, training, and technical guidance to drivers to support consistent safety practices. Develop, maintain, and update written policies related to fleet safety. Serve as the principal contact for all safety-related issues, including corrective actions and fleet initiatives. Ensure all activities under this role follow Federal, State, and Local laws and company requirements, including DOT regulatory compliance & drug and alcohol program Ensure all vehicles and drivers meet internal policy expectations as well as DOT and state licensing, permitting, and inspection requirements. Maintain accurate records for regulatory and internal audits, including driving logs, DOT logs, inspection reports, and accident documentation. Investigate accidents, near hits, and occupational injuries, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with DOT standards. Address any violations or discrepancies promptly Work closely with the operations team, drivers, and talent to ensure a culture of safety and compliance Compensation Starting Base Salary Range: $84,863-$98,231 + Annual ROA Bonus

ROA Bonus ROA Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon company performance each year, up to 33% of annual salary.

Profit-Sharing 10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Safety, Business, or Logistics preferred). 4 years experience in a Fleet Safety Coordinator or Manager role will be considered in lieu of education

Work Experience:

3 years experience in transportation, logisitics, or fleet operations. 1 year experience in a supervisory role. Preferred Qualifications:

Strong working knowledge of DOT regulations Understanding of FMCSA & OSHA safety law Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Previous experience with insurance claims management Currently have, or be able to obtain, a valid CDL-A license
