Okta is in profitable growth mode. We are seeking an experienced, self‑motivated Senior Financial Analyst who will be a key player in, and is truly excited about, driving and effectively scaling Okta’s growth. This person will report to the Manager, Corporate FP&A and partner with finance peers and leadership to assist in Okta’s forecasting process: consolidating, analyzing, and communicating key financial trends that influence our ability to execute against our quarterly plans and guidance. This highly visible role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who wants to be part of a dynamic FP&A organization that operates at an accelerated pace and scales for the future.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Facilitate company planning processes for all corporate quarterly forecasts covering the financial statements and key metrics; provide visibility and decision‑making support to the CFO, Investor Relations, and FP&A leadership.
Own Benefits & Taxes consolidation, Payroll Tax, and Other Income & Expense forecasts.
Maintain and improve detailed financial models that track and analyze key metrics and their impact on the company’s overall performance.
Be a key member of the team, delivering a flawless earnings process.
Cross‑collaborate effectively with partner organizations and drive process improvements.
Apply advanced Google Slides skills to create visually impactful slides for executive and board‑level presentations, with a focus on aligning and enhancing the format/content.
Leverage and improve current systems to increase productivity and accuracy of the FP&A team.
Assist with ad‑hoc strategic projects as necessary to enable management and business decisions.
Skills Required
Analytical skills: ability to work independently, think objectively, and interpret meaningful and insightful narratives from both quantitative and qualitative data.
Financial and business acumen: ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate as well as distill data into actionable information to drive results.
Problem solving & decision quality: ability to apply rigorous logic and sound methods to solve multi‑faceted problems with effective solutions.
Relationship management: ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners, inclusive of senior members of management.
Influential: ability to influence at all levels, including the most senior executives, with a demonstrated aptitude to work effectively within a matrixed team across multiple functional areas, and be assertive in driving successful management strategies.
Execution driven: ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and accuracy.
Presentation skills: effective in a variety of presentation settings, including one‑on‑one, small, and large groups.
Job Requirements
Able and willing to come into SF HQ as needed (up to 2× per week).
3+ years of experience in FP&A; 1+ year of corporate FP&A is a plus.
Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills.
Advanced Excel/GSheets and PowerPoint/GSlides skills are required.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including expertise in presenting analyses to senior leadership.
Anaplan and Tableau experience is a plus.
Prior experience in a high‑growth global high‑tech/software/SaaS organization is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary range for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area: $114,000—$172,000 USD. For other California locations (excluding SF Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington, the range is $102,000—$154,000 USD. Base salary depends on skills, qualifications, experience and location. Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave).
