Position Summary The CFO is responsible for the leadership and execution of all financial operations and strategy, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, M&A, and risk management. The ideal candidate is not only a seasoned financial strategist but also highly hands‑on in accounting and financial operations, capable of rolling up their sleeves when needed and leading a robust finance/accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting and finance functions, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, cash flow management, financial close, and regulatory compliance.
Own the company’s financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and internal standards.
Manage and mentor the Finance & Accounting team (8–10 people), fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning in alignment with company strategy.
Act as the internal expert and power user of NetSuite ERP—owning configuration, reporting, system optimization, and driving adoption of best practices.
Partner with operations and plant management to track and improve manufacturing KPIs, cost structures, and capital investment ROI.
Lead financial due diligence and integration for all M&A initiatives, from sourcing through post‑close performance tracking.
Serve as a financial thought partner to the CEO, supporting executive decisions with clear, data‑driven analysis.
Establish and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, legal advisors, and other key financial partners.
Continuously evaluate and improve internal controls, systems, and reporting tools to support the company’s scale and complexity.
Qualifications
A valid CPA license required
15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role
Extensive hands‑on experience in accounting operations, financial close, internal controls, and financial reporting
Strong working knowledge of NetSuite ERP, including reporting, customization, workflows, and user training (implementation experience a plus)
Prior experience in manufacturing environments, with in‑depth knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and plant financials
Demonstrated success in leading M&A transactions—deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, and integration
Experience in high‑growth, mid‑size, employee‑owned, or private company environments preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred
Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high‑performing teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, hands‑on leadership style
