Location Greenpoint, Brooklyn office (Hybrid: in office 2–3 days a week).
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes to improve operational efficiency.
Coordinate and manage 3PL warehouse, inter‑company transfers, last‑mile scoop shop delivery, and CPG Order Management & Customer Service.
Monitor and control inventory, delivery processes, and quality standards.
Develop and manage budgets in accordance with Van Leeuwen’s financial goals.
Analyze and address logistical challenges and propose proactive solutions.
Build and maintain professional relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Prepare standard performance and cost reports for leadership.
Manage and lead teams to achieve 98% OTIF in partnership with the Director of Supply Chain & VP of Supply Chain.
Oversee 3PL warehouse performance, establishing stronger processes, KPIs, and performance standards.
Inventory management across all warehouse locations, including transfer management, rebalancing, and WOS replenishment.
Ensure accurate IOH while partnering with cross‑functional teams to maintain inventory availability.
Oversee (and initially perform) wholesale order fulfillment, including EDI and ASN connection build‑out.
Provide support and improve line of sight for sales fulfillment.
Improve on‑time delivery and total order fulfillment success rates.
Reduce OOS occurrences at Retail Scoop Shops.
Build strong processes and carrier relationships to minimize accessorial freight charges.
Manage and meet budget for all logistics costs.
Collaborate with VP of Supply Chain and Logistics to build the annual logistics budget.
Lead ad‑hoc distribution and logistics initiatives.
Establish new 3PL warehouse and logistics systems for new and existing retail (scoop shop) markets.
Onboard new 3PL warehouses as necessary.
Build internal logistics team while improving internal processes.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
8–10 years of related experience.
Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
Experience with third‑party logistics and warehousing.
Experience with ERP (NetSuite) and TMS application.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Compensation & Benefits $150,000–$170,000 annual compensation (paid weekly) with eligibility for a 20% annual bonus.
