Assistant Member - Endocrine Oncologist role at Moffitt Cancer Center

Endocrine Oncologists are trained to diagnose and treat patients with endocrine tumors, including thyroid cancer, adrenal tumors, pituitary tumors and functional neuroendocrine tumors. An Endocrine Oncologist will have initial training in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty (Fellowship) training in either Endocrinology or Medical Oncology, followed by at least one year of further training in an Endocrine Oncology Fellowship. This additional training shall include training and experience in chemotherapy prescribing, specifically of oral multi-targeted and targeted kinase inhibitors, immunotherapy and other chemotherapeutics for endocrine malignancies. At least 50% of the physician’s clinical effort is dedicated to management of patients requiring this treatment.

As a member of the Moffitt Medical Group, provides patient care and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise, planning the clinical and research enterprise in support of patient care, research, and education. Actively supports the institutional mission to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.

The Department Chair, supported by the Endocrine Program Leader, will allocate the position's effort between clinical, research, educational, and administrative activities.

Qualifications

MD or Equivalent

Board certified (or eligible) in Endocrinology

Requires successful completion of an approved Fellowship in Endocrine Oncology

Florida Medical License

DEA License

ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff
