Key Responsibilities Data Strategy & Insights
Partner with the VP of Impact + Learning and department leads to develop and execute a long-term strategy for data systems, architecture, and platform selection.
Champion the use of data to drive insights, inform strategy, and improve decision-making across Programs, Philanthropy, and Communications.
Identify and cultivate opportunities for automation, efficiency, and cross-departmental data sharing to improve outcomes for vulnerable communities.
Stay current with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) and its related products (such as Data Cloud, Tableau, Slack, and Agent 360) and industry best practices to recommend new tools and workflows.
Salesforce Platform & Project Management
Serve as the organization’s strategic and technical lead for the Salesforce platform, overseeing its architecture, development, and administration.
Provide crucial technical leadership for the agency’s migration from two legacy Salesforce systems (NPSP) to a unified Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) organization
Maintain a product roadmap for Salesforce development, integrations, and user experience improvements.
Project manage and prioritize all platform enhancements in collaboration with department leads and system users.
Supervision & Team Management
Supervise and support the Senior Salesforce Administrator and Salesforce Administrator(s), fostering a high-functioning internal database support team.
Ensure timely, coordinated responses to user needs, bugs, and enhancement requests.
Develop a team culture focused on continuous improvement, clear documentation, and strong internal customer service.
Integrations & Data Governance
Oversee all integrations between our core Salesforce NPC instance and other products (Data Cloud, Tableau, Slack, etc.) as well as third-party systems, such as donation platforms, case management systems, accounting software, and marketing tools.
Ensure all data flows between platforms are accurate, timely, secure, and well-documented.
Lead the organization's data governance strategy in collaboration with IT/Data Security and department leads.
User Adoption & Training
Design and implement ongoing user training plans for staff of all technical levels.
Develop onboarding materials, training sessions, and self-service resources to drive platform adoption.
Serve as a resource for super-users and department-level data champions.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in data systems management, systems integration, or Salesforce administration, preferably in a human services or nonprofit context.
3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role managing a technical team.
Deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform is required; Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) experience is strongly preferred.
Salesforce Administrator certification required.
Proven experience managing complex technical projects, including platform migrations and multi-system integrations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Experience leading end-user training and driving change management for data platforms.
Passion for mission-driven work and using data to support individuals and families in interim supportive housing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating Salesforce NPC with the broader Salesforce product ecosystem, including products like Data Cloud, Tableau, Slack, and Agent 360.
Salesforce Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder, or other advanced certifications.
Prior work in a large, multi-program housing or human services nonprofit with complex workflows.
Experience with data compliance and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CCPA).
Familiarity with common nonprofit integration tools (e.g., Jitterbit, FormAssembly, Classy, Mogli, Mailchimp).
