In this role, you’ll take ownership of Bending Spoons’ US tax landscape—leading, optimizing, and innovating how we manage our tax responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll ensure rigorous compliance with international regulations while shaping strategies that enable smart growth. From guiding key business decisions and complex transactions to building world‑class processes, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding and strengthening our platform.

Responsibilities

Oversee international tax compliance and planning, including federal, state, and local income, franchise, and sales taxes, as well as transfer pricing.

Calculate tax liabilities, prepare and file returns, and manage the tax aspects of equity plans and contractor arrangements.

Ensure proper tax treatment of employee benefits and welfare programs.

Conduct tax due diligence for acquisitions and structure transactions efficiently.

Stay current on tax law changes, identify savings opportunities (e.g., R&D credits), and liaise with tax authorities and advisors.

Qualifications

Reasoning ability: Solve complex problems from first principles, structure ideas sharply, resist biases, and attend to details that matter.

Competitive pay and equity : For candidates with considerable experience, the annual salary range in the US is $257,642–$411,014, varying by location and impact. In high‑cost markets such as New York City and San Francisco, compensation tends toward the upper end of the range.

Commitment & contract Permanent or fixed‑term, full‑time.

Location Milan (Italy), London (UK), Warsaw (Poland), Madrid (Spain), or remote in selected countries.
