As a Senior Director of Government Relations at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the company's government relations strategy. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for Honeywell's interests. The Senior Director of Government Relations will have a significant impact on Honeywell's ability to navigate the complex landscape of government policies and regulations. By building and maintaining relationships with government officials and policymakers, this role will influence the development of policies that align with Honeywell's business objectives and help drive sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Engage members and defense committee professional staff.
Secure legislative outcomes that support key priorities.
Provide analysis into defense funding and policies.
Foster political relationships to further business objectives.
Drive recruitment for Honeywell International Political Action Committee.
Qualifications
Demonstrated record of effective engagement or experience in the U.S. Congressional defense appropriations and authorizations committees is required.
Minimum of 15 years of defense-related experience in relevant positions such as House or Senate Member or Leadership offices responsible for military or national security portfolios, professional staff members for defense committees, aerospace and defense companies, defense industries or associations, political organizations, or the Department of War.
Background in military aircraft and/or ground combat systems is desirable.
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution is mandatory; a postgraduate degree in business, political science, public policy, law, or related fields is desirable.
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential.
