Department Overview This opportunity is part of

Global Technology Enterprise Products & Platforms (EPP) , focused on Legal Operations, including Legal Spend, Document Management and Matters Management. Our vision is to always be a people‑led, product‑centric, future‑focused, trusted technology partner of choice.

Role Summary: Manager, Technical Product Management The Manager, Technical Product Management owns end‑to‑end technology product delivery, leads and inspires the working team, and uses Agile product management to influence and challenge stakeholders. The TPM mitigates biases and ensures the most appropriate, efficient, and optimal solution is delivered to solve business and end‑user challenges.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap definition

Manage iManage, ONiT, and/or suite of products with business impact.

Work with business partners to define the Legal Operations vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with goals, market trends, and customer feedback.

Partner with business leaders, delivery teams, and/or architects to determine long‑term viability of systems/products.

Translate customer needs into product features, prioritizing requirements and backlog.

Ensure cross‑functional alignment across product priorities and timelines.

Lead feature development and release management.

Vendor Management

Oversee relationships with legal technology vendors: selection, contract negotiation, onboarding, and performance management.

Monitor service levels, address issues, and drive resolution of platform‑related incidents or outages.

Evaluate new vendors and technologies for potential adoption.

Compliance & Data Protection

Ensure platforms and processes comply with GDPR, CCPA, and internal policies.

Develop and maintain retention policies for legal documents and data.

Serve as primary contact for data protection inquiries, incident response, audit, and regulatory reporting.

Identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy, security, and regulatory changes.

User Experience (UX) Design

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, user‑friendly interfaces.

Ensure product design meets usability standards and aligns with brand identity.

Market and Competitive Intelligence

Stay informed about CLM market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices.

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.

Data‑Driven Problem Solving Decision Making

Decompose complex problems into simple, actionable solutions.

Use user feedback, data, and business judgment for decisions.

Monitor KPIs, track usage patterns, and iterate on features.

Continuous Improvement and Feedback

Solicit feedback from customers, stakeholders, and team members.

Iterate on roadmap and prioritize enhancements for product innovation.

Continuously improve product management capabilities and close skill gaps.

Qualifications

8+ years of technical product management or relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years of experience with a Master’s degree.

Deep understanding of legal operations and related technologies; familiarity with TeamConnect, OnIT, or iManage is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to manage technical products, drive clarity, discuss technical concepts, manage trade‑offs, and evaluate concepts with partners.

Proven analytical and quantitative skills; use data and metrics to back assumptions, develop business cases, and measure success.

Knowledge of latest technology trends in the domain area.

Experience applying product and Agile ways of working; standardize and refine processes.

Effective communication, storytelling, negotiation, influencing, business acumen, and problem‑solving skills.

Experience using data and reporting to present key business cases and facilitate continuous improvement.

Positive mindset, openness to learning, risk‑taking, and willingness to admit mistakes.

Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:

$138,207 – $172,758 per year, experienced-based adjustments may apply.
