Senior Systems Process Engineer

Base pay range:
$78.00/hr - $83.00/hr
Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable processes, methods, and tool architectures for configuration and release management across software, hardware, and integrated ECU systems.
Establish and maintain a seamless digital thread enabling end-to-end traceability from requirements to OTA delivery.
Collaborate cross-functionally with homologation, quality, systems architecture, integration, hardware development, DevOps, and OTA teams to translate diverse requirements into effective, streamlined solutions.
Build and operationalize configuration and release management processes across the entire product portfolio, from pure software to complex hardware-software combinations.
Ensure a consistent single source of truth for product data, including BOM and SBOM, throughout the product lifecycle.
Integrate configuration and release management capabilities into the broader engineering tool ecosystem, including PLM, ALM, and CI/CD platforms.
Enable scalable, automated compliance workflows aligned with regulatory and safety requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years of experience in senior or technical leadership roles designing configuration and release systems for complex products or embedded systems (excluding enterprise IT or ITIL-focused environments).
Strong background in software-first or SDV-centric product development, ideally within an OEM or high-tech Tier-1 environment.
Hands-on experience with OTA delivery at scale and mature CI/CD pipelines.
Cross-industry experience in areas such as eVTOL/Urban Air Mobility, aerospace, space systems, or medical devices is highly valued, particularly where agile development intersects with rigorous safety certification (e.g., DO-178C, IEC 62304).
Expert knowledge of UNECE R156 (SUMS) and ISO 26262, with demonstrated experience implementing automated, workflow-driven compliance (“compliance as code”).
Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
Proven ability to think strategically, align execution with long-term objectives, and operate effectively across organizational boundaries.
