American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and three years of Med-Surg experience.
Responsibilities
* Position is in a hospital-based 31-bed Med/Surg unit
* Care provided to diverse med/surg patient population
* 12-hour night shifts are required
* Uses Meditech and OBIX for documentation and Pyxis Supply Stations
* No floating to other units or departments
* Three-day Meditech and OBIX training plus unit-specific orientation provided
* Completion of Medication Testing required within first two weeks onsite
* Scrubs are provided
* On-call coverage may be required as needed
Requirements
* Active Alaska (AK) RN license required
* Current BLS and HS AED certifications required
* Minimum of three years Med-Surg nursing experience
* Strong critical thinking skills necessary
