Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Massachusetts requiring strong tele and float experience.
Responsibilities Position is in a hospital Med/Surg unit with 20 to 34 beds depending on unit Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:6 Personal scrubs of any color are permitted Willingness to float to any Med/Surg unit is required Position requires Meditech Expanse EMR experience is strongly preferred Block scheduling is not permitted Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment Must be willing to float to any Med/Surg unit as needed Holiday coverage requires working one of the following: Christmas Eve/Day and following Friday/weekend, or New Year's Eve/Day and following Friday/weekend No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted and must be declared prior to acceptance Scheduling or RTO requests will not be approved after offer Personal transportation is required for assignment Personal address must be included for eligibility verification
Requirements Active MA RN license must be in hand at the time of consideration Minimum of 2 years current Med/Surg experience required Prior tele experience required Completion of basic dysrhythmia course strongly required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand at time of consideration Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred Applicants must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility
