Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and document findings.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Put away received stock in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack outgoing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation.
- Schedule pickups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain organized records for both receiving and shipping activities.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse management principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
- Commitment to using required PPE at all times.
