Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular audits, reconciling stock levels, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and implementing efficient inventory control procedures. The ability to analyze data and contribute to process improvements is highly valued. Safety is a top priority, and you must consistently follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your skills in a key position within our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory flow and identify potential issues such as shrinkage or obsolescence.
  • Ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of all inventory items.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping teams to ensure accurate inventory transactions.
  • Develop and recommend process improvements for inventory management and warehouse logistics.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and turnover.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or business is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including occasional Lifting.
  • Solid understanding of logistics principles and supply chain best practices.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
