Job Summary:
Our company is looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage outbound shipments at our Portland, Oregon location. Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and apply shipping labels for all outgoing packages.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify shipping information against customer orders for accuracy.
- Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documentation.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and condition.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and inventory records.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Adhere to all company Safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment, utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Support the broader logistics team in achieving operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Familiarity with proper PPE usage.
