Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation, including bills of lading.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) to schedule pickups.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documents before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipment status.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Uphold safety standards and utilize required PPE in all shipping activities.
- Assist with inventory verification as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and systems.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Familiarity with shipping carrier requirements and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
