Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills? Our Jacksonville logistics hub is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This critical role involves monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing procedures to ensure inventory integrity. Your work will directly support the efficiency and profitability of our operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing data and identifying root causes.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
  • Manage and track the movement of goods within the warehouse using WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of all inventory items.
  • Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting trends and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper PPE is used in all inventory handling activities.
  • Assist with training warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
  • May involve some lifting of inventory items up to 25 lbs for verification or relocation.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices within logistics.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data and create clear reports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
