Our Orlando, Florida distribution center is looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels. This role is vital to our logistics chain, ensuring that stock is precisely accounted for, organized, and readily available. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position requires collaboration with various warehouse departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless inventory management. You will contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the business by safeguarding assets and optimizing stock rotation. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure accurate transaction processing.
  • Develop and generate inventory reports for management review.
  • Identify and report on slow-moving or excess inventory.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper handling of materials.
  • Assist in developing and implementing process improvements for inventory control.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs for inventory checks.
  • Knowledge of inventory management best practices and logistics principles.
  • Understanding and enforcement of safety regulations and the use of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with barcode scanning technology.
