Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure accurate transaction processing.
- Develop and generate inventory reports for management review.
- Identify and report on slow-moving or excess inventory.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper handling of materials.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements for inventory control.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs for inventory checks.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices and logistics principles.
- Understanding and enforcement of safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with barcode scanning technology.
