Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse and logistics infrastructure. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of warehouse equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your duties will include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing necessary repairs on machinery, racking systems, and other warehouse assets. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and functional working environment. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, forklifts, palletizers)
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
  • Install and set up new equipment as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
  • Ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse operations staff
  • Assist with inventory of spare parts
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in warehouse operations

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a related field is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Technician, or similar role in a warehouse or industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repair of warehouse equipment
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace regulations
  • Understanding of logistics processes is beneficial
  • Proper use of PPE is mandatory
