Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, forklifts, palletizers)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Install and set up new equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE
- Work collaboratively with warehouse operations staff
- Assist with inventory of spare parts
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in warehouse operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a related field is a plus
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Technician, or similar role in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of warehouse equipment
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace regulations
- Understanding of logistics processes is beneficial
- Proper use of PPE is mandatory
