Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage and schedule warehouse staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layouts and storage systems.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through regular audits and system updates.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols, including mandatory PPE usage and safe lifting practices.
- Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement in logistics efficiency.
- Train warehouse personnel on operational procedures, safety, and equipment usage.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to train staff on PPE requirements and safe lifting techniques.
- Comfortable with physical demands, including regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A proactive approach to operational management.
