Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Tampa, Florida! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within our warehouse and distribution center. Your primary duties will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. Maintaining a safe working environment is critical; therefore, adherence to all safety procedures and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. This role requires precision and experience in operating various types of forklifts. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure the smooth flow of operations within our logistics facility. While the primary focus is on forklift operation, there may be instances requiring manual labor, including lifting of up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist in order picking and staging processes as needed.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is kept clear of obstructions and hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Use required PPE at all times.
- Perform manual tasks including lifting and moving materials when necessary.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Strong understanding of forklift operational safety procedures.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance checks on equipment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear and use all required PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
