Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, managing stock levels, and ensuring that all inventory data is up-to-date and accurate within our system. You will also assist in implementing and improving inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles. While not a physically demanding role, some lifting may be required, and adherence to safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is still expected in warehouse areas. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Identify and tag damaged or obsolete stock.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams on inventory-related matters.
- Assist in the optimization of warehouse layout for inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and PPE usage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
