Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our facility in Detroit, Michigan. This key position is responsible for managing daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. You will coordinate the movement of goods, manage inventory, oversee shipping and receiving processes, and lead a team of warehouse associates. A strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and a commitment to operational excellence are essential. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to fostering a safe and efficient work environment. You will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain and ensuring timely delivery of products. We emphasize safety and expect all team members to adhere to protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Oversee the efficient picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Train and manage warehouse staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
  • Coordinate with transportation and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents.
  • Generate reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational costs.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and supervision.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and relevant software.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring the use of PPE.
