Shipping & Receiving Associate

Job Summary:
We are hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Columbus, Ohio, to manage the flow of goods into and out of our facility. This vital role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately received and documented, and that outgoing shipments are prepared efficiently and correctly. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting our logistics operations. Responsibilities:

• Receive all incoming shipments, verifying quantities and checking for damage.
• Accurately document all received goods into the inventory management system.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders according to specifications.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and shipping area.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), to move goods.
• Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and the correct use of PPE.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role is required.
• Proficiency in using computers and warehouse management software.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
