Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with management to optimize stock.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Utilize WMS (Warehouse Management System) for all inventory-related tasks.
- Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage and improve accuracy.
- Train warehouse staff on proper inventory handling and storage procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to train and guide team members.
- Must be committed to workplace safety and wear appropriate PPE.
