Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO/LIFO) and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Organize warehouse storage locations for optimal efficiency and accessibility.
- Work with the receiving and shipping departments to reconcile inventory movements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ensure adherence to all Safety protocols, including proper handling of materials and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements for inventory management.
- Support logistics and operational planning with accurate inventory data.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 40 lbs), bending, and standing.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
