Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring our stock levels are precise, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Key duties include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating stock variances, reconciling inventory records, and implementing solutions to prevent future issues. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of inventory management principles and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS). This position requires the ability to perform accurate data entry, generate reports, and collaborate effectively with other departments. We place a high emphasis on safety, and adherence to all protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Moderate lifting and standing for extended periods will be part of the daily routine. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in the WMS accurately.
  • Identify, document, and report damaged, obsolete, or expired stock.
  • Assist in reconciling inventory data between physical counts and system records.
  • Support receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate inventory intake.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Operate material handling equipment for inventory movements when necessary.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient logistics environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety standards and wearing required PPE.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of logistics operations and inventory best practices.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
