Material Handler

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse facility. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that products are accurately received, stored, and prepared for shipment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and management to maintain an efficient and safe working environment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain operational excellence in the supply chain.
Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
• Transport materials and products to and from designated storage areas using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by properly stocking, locating, and counting materials.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety.
• Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots at all times.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills in logistics and material handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that aisles and emergency exits are clear.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Must be comfortable with manual labor and frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
• Understand and follow all warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
• Ability to operate various material handling equipment.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE.
