Our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facility is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of inventory accuracy. This critical role involves maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies and losses. You will work closely with warehouse operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure the integrity of our stock. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a commitment to safety, including adherence to PPE requirements, are essential. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product integrity.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper material flow.
  • Track and manage damaged or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE in inventory areas.
  • Train warehouse staff on inventory procedures and best practices.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and shrinkage.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and logistics operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
