Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product integrity.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper material flow.
- Track and manage damaged or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE in inventory areas.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory procedures and best practices.
- Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and shrinkage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and logistics operations.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
