Job Summary:
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is key to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our stock. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and excellent analytical skills. Safety is a priority; you will be expected to enforce Safety procedures and ensure team members follow them, including the proper use of PPE. While primarily focused on accuracy, this role may involve occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Execute cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels, identify reorder points, and support replenishment.
- Implement and adhere to established inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and handling practices.
- Identify and report damaged, obsolete, or expired stock.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to enhance inventory accuracy.
- Promote and enforce a culture of Safety, including correct PPE usage.
- Assist with other logistics and warehouse support functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
- Ability to perform occasional Lifting.
- Commitment to Safety and diligence in wearing PPE.
