Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Houston, Texas. This position is essential for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management system. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, performing physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring that all inventory data is accurately recorded and updated in our Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will play a key role in minimizing inventory loss, optimizing stock levels, and supporting smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics. Safety is paramount; you will be expected to follow all company safety guidelines and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate and timely cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of inventory records in the WMS.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify reorder points, and report potential stockouts.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and control.
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of inventory.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Identify and report damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory.
  • Contribute to process improvements in inventory management and logistics.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
  • Capable of occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory best practices.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to perform tasks including occasional Lifting.
