Responsibilities:
- Process and document outgoing shipments accurately using WMS and shipping software.
- Prepare all necessary shipping documents, including labels, bills of lading, and manifests.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL freight) for pickups and deliveries.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests for accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain an organized and efficient shipping station and staging area.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to relevant parties.
- Conduct quality control checks on outgoing packages.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and ensure the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse and logistics tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
