Position Summary The Finance Manager oversees financial planning, reporting, and analysis for manufacturing and distribution operations, ensuring accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and data-driven support for operational and strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership to optimize costs, improve margins, and support scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes Ensure accurate revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and cost accounting Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance

Manufacturing & Cost Monitor production costs, margins, and efficiency metrics Partner with plant management to support operational performance improvements

Inventory & Distribution Finance Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, physical inventories, and reserves Analyze inventory turnover, obsolescence, freight, and logistics costs Support pricing, demand planning, and distribution profitability analysis

Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes Develop financial models to support capital investments, capacity planning, and growth initiatives Track performance against budget and provide variance analysis to leadership

Cash Flow & Working Capital Manage cash flow forecasting, AR/AP performance, and working capital optimization Monitor capital expenditures and ROI for equipment and facility investments

Systems, Controls & Process Improvement Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies Support ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics) and process improvements Drive automation and efficiency across finance and operations

Leadership & Collaboration Manage and develop finance or accounting staff, as applicable Serve as a key business partner to operations, supply chain, sales, and executive leadership

Qualifications Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 4 - 7+ years of finance or accounting experience in manufacturing and/or distribution Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, and operational finance Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Experience Multi-site manufacturing or distribution operations Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments Exposure to international operations or multi-entity accounting
