Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Royal Oak, MI Pay Rate:
$18/hr (W2) Shift:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST Credentials Required:
Michigan eligibility **
Basic Purpose: Responsible for receiving, shipping, routing, and documenting all materials entering or exiting the facility and maintaining accurate records in the Materials Management system. Duties & Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, verify, and process all inbound materials for on-site and off-site facilities Enter receipts into Materials Management software Report discrepancies to Warehouse Manager Prepare outbound shipments with correct documentation Manage Returned Goods according to SOP Deliver stock to staging areas, rotate inventory by expiration date Identify short-dated materials ( Assist with cycle counts and full physical inventory Comply with OSHA, CLIA, HR, and safety policies Recommend process improvements Assist with order entry, picking, packing, and delivery Support record storage and retrieval Handle internal/external mail as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Education: Required:
High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum
6 months materials management experience Data entry experience preferred Skills & Requirements: Basic math skills Strong communication & problem-solving skills Good record-keeping Ability to use computer, printer, barcode scanner Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Ability to lift
up to 70 lbs Able to operate forklift / pallet jack (training provided if needed) Works well in a team environment
