Overview
A PE-backed, global manufacturing organization is seeking a Vice President of Information Technology to lead its global IT function during a period of accelerated growth and transformation. This is a hybrid role, with most executive leadership working onsite in Chattanooga, TN, and the position will partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership team.
The organization provides solutions across complex industrial environments and operates multiple proprietary product brands across 14 locations globally. The business has a strong history of strategic acquisitions, most recently acquiring Micronics, and continues to scale under forward-looking private equity sponsorship.
Role Summary
The Vice President of Information Technology will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and evolution of the global IT organization, ensuring technology platforms effectively support operations, growth, and innovation. This leader will own enterprise systemsmost critically QAD ERPwhile overseeing infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and digital transformation initiatives.
This role will manage a global IT team, including an India Shared Services footprint, and will drive ERP optimization across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and customer service functions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for the global IT function aligned with business objectives
Own and optimize the QAD ERP platform across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and customer service
Lead enterprise applications, systems integration, and data architecture
Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud environments, cybersecurity, and governance
Support M&A activity, including systems integration and standardization
Drive automation, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives (Industry 4.0)
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global IT organization
Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and executive leadership
Ideal Candidate Profile
Deep, hands-on QAD ERP experience within a manufacturing environment (required)
Experience supporting global, multi-entity organizations
Proven IT leadership at a senior or executive level
Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and operational systems
Experience with acquisitions, ERP optimization, and enterprise transformation
Hands-on leadership style with strong executive presence and communication skills
High EQ and ability to collaborate closely with Finance and Operations
