Staff Accountant
to join a growing organization in
LaPorte, Indiana . This is a
fully onsite position
offering a hands-on role in daily accounting operations, month-end activities, and accounts receivable leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Lead the
Accounts Receivable
function, overseeing invoicing, collections, and aging reports.
Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.
Perform
bank reconciliations
and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Review financial data for accuracy and assist in preparing internal management reports.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
Support audits and implement process improvements to strengthen accounting efficiency and internal controls.
Qualifications
Minimum
associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
(bachelor's preferred).
5+ years of accounting experience , including general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliations.
Strong understanding of
debits, credits, journal entries, and financial statements.
Proven experience managing or leading
accounts receivable processes.
Proficiency with accounting software and
Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
