Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Applications Architect
for a
hybrid contract
role.
Responsibilities Application architects are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications for computer systems. This role directs the development process from conception to completion and oversees the efforts of associated technical staff. The Applications Architect will lead the architecture and design of cloud-native applications, work hands-on in application development, implement best practices for scalability, reliability, and maintainability, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications 8 years of experience
with Java EE, Spring Boot, and microservices frameworks. 8 years of hands-on experience
with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud). 8 years of experience
with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. 8 years of experience
designing and integrating APIs using REST and GraphQL. 8 years of experience
with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. 8 years of experience
applying cloud-native security best practices. 8 years of experience
working with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB. 8 years of experience
designing event-driven architectures using messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. 8 years of experience
with serverless computing and cloud-native services. 8 years of experience
applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to model complex business domains.
Preferred Qualifications 8 years of knowledge of
observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. 8 years of previous experience in
performance tuning and high-availability architectures. 8 years of knowledge of
cloud cost optimization strategies. 8 years of previous experience in
healthcare or public-sector environments. 8 years of knowledge of
Information Management principles, SDLC, enterprise architecture, and IT governance. 8 years of previous experience in
consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement. 8 years of previous experience in
customer-focused communication across all organizational levels. 8 years of previous experience in
proactive leadership with strong attention to detail. 3 years of previous experience in
holding cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Architect certifications. 3 years of previous experience in
supporting Texas or other state eligibility systems.
