General Manager - Hotel
We are looking for a General Manager to lead a full service, all suite hotel in Waltham, MA with 275 suites.
Base pay range $165,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
About the Property
️ Large atrium style lobby, an on site restaurant and bar, indoor pool, fitness center, and approximately 12,500 square feet of meeting and event space supporting corporate, academic, and social group business.
Hotel Leadership and Direction
Provide hands on leadership for a multi department operation. Set priorities, establish expectations, and maintain daily visibility throughout the hotel.
Oversee front office, housekeeping, engineering, accounting, sales, food and beverage, and banquets.
Ensure consistent execution of daily services including breakfast service, evening guest offerings, restaurant operations, public space presentation, and meeting execution.
Develop and manage the annual operating budget. Monitor forecasts, labor, and controllable expenses daily. Address variances promptly and drive revenue through disciplined pricing, group performance, and cost control.
Lead and develop department leaders. Set accountability standards, provide regular feedback, and maintain a respectful and organized work environment.
Food and Beverage and Banquets
Oversee breakfast service, evening guest offerings, restaurant and bar operations, and banquet execution.
Ensure proper staffing, service quality, and coordination between sales, events, and kitchen teams.
Guest Experience and Quality Standards
Maintain a guest focused culture.
Review guest feedback regularly and implement corrective action when needed.
Ensure compliance with required brand and quality standards.
Facilities and Capital Projects
Oversee building maintenance, life safety systems, preventive maintenance programs, and capital projects.
Ensure guestrooms, public areas, and amenities are maintained at expected standards.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, health, and safety requirements for guests and associates.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager in a full service environment.
Seven or more years of progressive hospitality leadership.
Strong operational knowledge of food and beverage, banquets, and facilities.
Hilton brand experience or equivalent full service branded hotel experience required.
College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
