Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Position:

General Manager – Full‑Service Waterfront Hotel

We are looking for a General Manager to lead a long‑standing full‑service waterfront hotel in the Boston area. The property features approximately 155 guest rooms, extensive banquet and event space, a popular neighborhood restaurant and bar, and steady business from both local and travel markets.

The ideal candidate has experience managing a hotel of similar size, guiding teams through both busy and quiet cycles, and building relationships with community partners and vendors. Experience supporting renovations or property improvement projects is helpful.

Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for the full performance, presentation, and culture of the hotel. This role ensures high guest satisfaction, financial success, compliance, and team engagement across all departments including rooms, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, banquets, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily hotel operations with visibility across all departments

Develop department leaders through coaching, scheduling, and communication

Maintain brand and quality standards

Manage budgeting, forecasting, labor, and purchasing

Drive revenue through rate strategy, group sales, and local partnerships

Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally

Ensure safety, HR, and regulatory complianceOversee banquet execution and service quality

Represent the hotel within the local business community

Qualifications

Prior experience as General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a full‑service hotel

Understanding of guest service, group business, and event operations

Familiarity with hotel management systems and reporting tools

Boston or South Shore experience preferred but not required

Clear communicator with an encouraging leadership style

Schedule and Compensation

Weekend and holiday availability as business requires
