Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ECC / S/4HANA RAP Technical Developer (Level 3) to support a critical onsite engagement as part of a large-scale Finance ERP transformation program.
Deep hands‑on ABAP development and strong techno‑functional knowledge to deliver robust, scalable, and upgrade‑safe SAP solutions aligned with SAP’s modern architecture and clean‑core principles.
Role
Stage 1: Adapt existing custom ABAP code for compatibility with S/4HANA’s simplified data structures and programming model.
Stage 2: Re‑engineer solutions using clean‑core principles, strict ABAP, and modern frameworks such as RAP, CDS, and AMDP.
Stage 3: Support selective transition to SAP BTP using side‑by‑side extensibility where appropriate.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business and IT stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Proven ability to manage complex technical challenges in a fast‑paced transformation environment.
Highly adaptable, with a strong understanding of SAP’s evolving architectural direction.
Experience upgrade‑safe and performance‑optimized SAP solutions.
Required Experience
15+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience in ECC environments.
7+ years of SAP S/4HANA development experience.
Strong expertise in RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), CDS Views, and AMDP.
In‑depth understanding of SAP Clean Core principles and strict ABAP.
Experience adapting and optimizing large volumes of custom ABAP code for S/4HANA.
Strong knowledge of SAP Finance‑related business processes.
Familiarity with cloud and SAP BTP concepts.
Preferred Skills
Experience with side‑by‑side extensibility on SAP BTP.
Strong performance tuning and code remediation experience for S/4HANA.
Knowledge of SAP security concepts and authorization adaptations.
Prior experience in large enterprise SAP transformation programs.
