Job Summary The Sr. Vice President, Valuation independently prepares market‑value appraisals for commercial real estate and related properties, compiles appraisal reports, stays current on real‑estate markets, and mentors trainees. The role involves developing and maintaining client relationships, producing high‑quality reports on time, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Essential Functions
Develop and source appraisal projects, including bidding, delivery timing, and fee quotes.
Authorize letters of engagement or contracts.
Prepare fully developed valuation analyses, conclusions, and reports.
Inspect properties and collect data from stakeholders.
Compile local‑area market analysis, site descriptions, improvement details, and regional economic profiles.
Gather comparable sales, lease data, market statistics, zoning, tax, and assessment information.
Produce accurate, timely reports.
Manage billing and collection of appraisal fees.
Identify and resolve appraisal issues as they arise.
Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced appraisers.
Maintain industry and professional relationships.
Other Functions
Perform additional duties or projects as requested.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General State Certification/License.
MAI designation.
Required Knowledge
Complete understanding of real‑estate valuation approaches.
Advanced knowledge of financial real‑estate terms and principles.
Experience Required
Minimum five (5) years of commercial appraisal experience.
Work Environment Standard office environment with typical office noise; occasional site visits may involve industrial settings with loud noises and mild fumes.
Physical Demands Regular talking and hearing; active duties such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. Frequent use of computer for extended periods; vision requirements for close work. Short to moderate driving, outdoor terrain, roof and mechanical access, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Supervisory Responsibilities No direct supervisory responsibilities.
