team and make a difference in patient lives. Nurses on KM‑7 care for patients with recent cardiac surgery, including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements and aortic procedures. Patients are transferred from the intensive care unit on postoperative day one and receive comprehensive care to prepare them for discharge as early as postoperative day four. KM‑7 nurses also care for thoracic surgery and cardiology patients. Essential Responsibilities
Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel in order to provide safe, effective, efficient, equitable and timely, patient-centered care. Works in a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs of patients and families. Maintains annual mandatory education requirements, which include emergency skills and unit based competencies. Demonstrates a commitment to patients, staff, and to Beth Israel Lahey Health. The individual nursing practice reflects the goals of the Medical Center. Education
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred. Experience
1‑3 years related work experience required. License/Certification(s)
