Overview Insight Hospital is seeking an experienced Associate Pharmacy Director to support the Pharmacy Director in overseeing operations across specialty, inpatient, outpatient, and 340B programs.

Base Pay Range $185,000.00/yr – $200,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Pharmacy Director in leading daily operations of the pharmacy (inpatient, outpatient, specialty, and 340B programs).

Supervise pharmacy staff—pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel—to ensure adherence to policies and standards.

Foster a collaborative, patient‑centered environment and provide guidance and mentorship to the pharmacy team.

Participate in developing and implementing strategic goals for the pharmacy department.

Oversee medication management and distribution to ensure safe, effective, and cost‑efficient services.

Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to optimize patient outcomes through clinical pharmacy services.

Assist in monitoring and improving medication usage and formulary management across the hospital.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and hospital policies, including 340B program management.

Lead continuous quality improvement, risk management, and medication safety initiatives.

Promote and implement new pharmacy technologies to improve operational efficiency and patient care, and support EMR integration.

Assist in managing the department budget, identifying cost‑saving and revenue‑generating opportunities, and report financial and operational metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (required).

Licensed to practice pharmacy in Illinois.

Minimum 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

Experience with specialty pharmacy, outpatient, inpatient, and 340B compliance.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficiency in pharmacy technology, EMR systems, and related software.
