Responsibilities

Deliver Unforgettable Customer Experiences

Master the P&L Like a CEO

Own every line of the weekly profit & loss statement.

Hire top talent and set competitive pay.

Forecast and schedule labor with precision.

Control overtime, shrink, and cost drivers.

Optimize merchandising, ordering, and inventory turns.

Build actionable plans to hit (and beat) budgets.

Build a High‑Performance, Inspired Team

– foster trust, respect, and collaboration; coach, develop, and promote future leaders; handle complex situations with empathy and decisiveness; create a positive, inclusive culture rooted in Earth Fare values.

Drive Sales Through Smart Merchandising

– execute planograms with creativity, provide merchant feedback, and rally departments to seize sales opportunities, especially in Wellness and Specialty (beer, wine, cheese, coffee).

Uphold Gold‑Standard Operations

– oversee inventories with accuracy and efficiency; ensure impeccable food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety (ServSafe preferred); maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

Partner for Success

– collaborate with Director of Operations, Home Office, vendors, and peer leaders to achieve outstanding financial and operational results.

Qualifications

Proven Grocery Retail Leader

– 3+ years as a Store Manager with full P&L ownership in a grocery environment (natural or organic experience a major plus).

P&L Strategist

– expert at using financial statements to drive decisions in labor, shrink, inventory, and perishable/non‑perishable departments.

People Developer

– track record of hiring A‑players, coaching for excellence, and building teams that deliver legendary service and develop internal talent.

Customer Obsessed

– known for instilling a service‑first mindset that turns shoppers into loyal advocates.

Operationally Elite

– deep experience managing food safety, safety programs, and high‑volume retail environments.

Tech‑Savvy Communicator

– proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and clear, professional communication.

Mission‑Aligned

Requirements

Flexible availability: nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Ability to support sister stores in the region as needed.

Physical capability: lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and maneuver loads.

Reliable attendance and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
