General Statement of Duties The candidate must be ready to show evidence of their past experiences as a successful coach. They should be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive leadership of a public school's Lacrosse program, which includes effectively managing the team and its coaching staff but also meticulously preparing and overseeing games and practices, handling equipment, and inspiring players. Additionally, the candidate must be prepared to articulate their commitment to the academic development and growth of student athletes.
Essential Duties
Organizes the overall lacrosse program
Prepares players both physically and mentally for interscholastic competition through practice, teaching of fundamental skills, and knowledge of rules
Supervises the cleaning, storage, and proper care of all equipment
Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic
Prepares daily practice schedule and conducts practice sessions
Attends VHSL clinics
Follows county financial policies concerning the collection and receipting of funds
Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience as a Lacrosse coach or player required.
Experience as a player at the collegiate or professional level is preferred.
