Overview
Flexible Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 4‑day workweek option (10‑hour shifts)
Manageable Patient Volume: 12–18 patients per day, ages 6 months and older
Collaborative Team:
Family Medicine providers, including APPs and physicians
Strong Pediatric Support: Dedicated pediatrician, additional pediatrician joining soon, pediatric APP starting next month
Ideal Candidate: Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, flexible, committed to patient‑centered care
Experience Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience

Job Summary The Physician Assistant (PA) Primary Care is a licensed, non‑physician provider who renders direct patient care, possesses delegated prescriptive authority, is credentialed and privileged, and whose service is billed as an independent billing provider, as recognized by Medicare and Medicaid within the healthcare systems. The advanced practice provider provides medical care based upon the scope of practice as delineated by the supervising physician.
Essential Functions of the Role
Assesses physical and mental condition of patients through comprehensive or problem‑focused examinations and histories.
Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and healthcare needs.
Prescribes medication therapies and performs indicated procedures in accordance with approved protocols and policies with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost.
Recommends interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks.
Formulates and implements comprehensive outcomes‑based treatment plans based on evidence‑based medicine and professional practice guidelines in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members when appropriate.
Evaluates patient response to healthcare provided and the effectiveness of care.
Counsels patients and families regarding medical processes, management of health conditions, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
Mentals: Maintains appropriate records, initiates timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds scope of practice or expertise.
Provides consultation‑level services for conditions related to the provider’s specialty and training.
Performs invasive procedures specific to scope of practice as delegated by supervising physician.
May serve a panel of patients in a team‑based model focusing on acute and chronic illness management and population health.

Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Texas.
Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
