Sr. Epic Analyst – EpicCare Bones University of Miami Health System – UHealth IT Department – South Florida

Position: Full‑time, Staff

Responsibilities

Collaborates with key stakeholders, end‑users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access.

Serves as a primary support contact for application end‑users.

Initiates the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the EpicCare Bones application.

Initiates all phases of testing and documents workflow design.

Performs analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impact on workflow.

Initiates the identification of issues and guides efforts to resolve them.

Supports junior staff in evaluating and resolving service tickets, implementing application changes, retrieving requested data, and performing day‑to‑day operations.

Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.

Works with stakeholders, business community and end‑users to ensure the application meets UHealth’s business/clinical needs.

Participates in on‑call rotations and attends applicable committees.

Maintains regular communication with team members, including weekly project team meetings.

Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.

Remains knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations.

Adheres to University and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

EpicCare Ambulatory, Kaleidoscope, and Bones certifications required.

Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or a healthcare‑related organization.

Experience in operational, project management, and organizational roles.

Familiarity with physician practice workflows, hospital outpatient departments, and patient experiences preferred.

Familiarity with ophthalmology physician practice workflows preferred.

Understanding of integration points, including scheduling, lab, radiology, billing, imaging, and inpatient clinical preferred.

Availability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Office).

Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Leadership, motivation, development, and training abilities.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
