Join Walmart as a
Director, Data Analytics
and lead the development of data visualization and analytics capabilities for Walmart’s Connect Sales Team. This strategic role will oversee two critical domains: Data Science and Data Analytics, driving thought leadership, prototype innovation, and change management to empower internal teams across Sales, Business Operations, Revenue Operations, Product, and Engineering.
Responsibilities
Data Collection and Analysis:
Direct and empower a team to analyze critical data sets, own sales forecasting and planning, and develop new data models and algorithms that support proactive sales strategy.
Data Transformation:
Collect and analyze large, multi‑source datasets; transform complex data into dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for end users.
Data Governance:
Adopt and enforce data governance standards and guidelines to ensure data consistency and quality.
Collaboration:
Partner with functional and cross‑functional leaders to develop consultative solutions, secure alignment on data strategies, and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.
People Development:
Coach, mentor, and cultivate high‑performing teams; identify emerging skills and support succession planning while promoting diverse talent.
Strategic Leadership:
Translate business objectives into actionable strategies, evaluate operations, and drive continuous improvement. Champion a customer‑focused culture and promote dashboard adoption through training and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of retail experience, preferably at a large, highly cross‑functional organization.
5+ years of experience as a people leader.
Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Knowledge of Microsoft Tools and Systems.
Preferred: MBA, experience with Salesforce, Tableau, or other enterprise dashboard/data systems, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in and across large cross‑functional organizations; strong executive presence; familiarity with newer automation and AI tools.
