Radiologic Technologist Lvl 2 – NYC Health + Hospitals
Join the Radiology Department as a Level 2 Radiologic Technologist. This position provides high quality imaging services to patients in a state‑of‑the‑art facility.
Salary Annual base pay: $79,886.00 (fixed).
Responsibilities Perform diagnostic x‑ray exams and related tasks in the Radiology Department. Responsibilities include:
Prepare radiologic area, equipment, contrast materials, and supplies.
Assist patient with positioning and procedure instructions.
Administer general and specific x‑ray imaging techniques.
Develop images according to photographic techniques.
Observe patient and equipment during procedure and report unusual occurrences.
Maintain supplies, equipment, and required records.
Transport and use mobile x‑ray equipment as required.
Follow all radiation, patient, and employee safety protocols.
Use electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters.
At higher Level I responsibilities include:
Perform procedures on patients requiring specialized expertise.
Assist Radiologists and other health professionals in diagnostic procedures.
Perform diagnostic testing and general maintenance on equipment.
Monitor patient and equipment condition during procedure and report changes.
Assist and guide radiographers in a wide variety of x‑ray procedures.
Train and assist radiographers in a wide variety of x‑ray procedures.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate day‑to‑day area activity to ensure continuous flow of work.
Supervise radiographers and ancillary personnel assigned to the area.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure operational viability.
Qualifications Assignment Level II:
Valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH.
